This deck has been built for a multiplayer campaign. Jim's got a popular playlist and it isn't long before he's going to be asked to play it again.
Scavenging is in for when he levels up and gets Grotesque Statue. for now it will be used to return the painkillers and recycle the Flashlight. The magnifying glass and Dr Milan help with low level investigation and resource generation. And a big knife (machete) just in case there's any trouble with Jim's set.
Quantum Flux is included mainly so he can return his Mystic events and assets to his deck should he need them again. However the secondary function is they allow him to use the non skill cards to boost skill tests without them being sacrificed. The only skill card then is Defiance which is a single ? and allows Jim to ignore one Chaos symbol which makes Jim's tests safer.
We'll be playing on Hard so Jim's native skull modifier will really help mitigate risk. Ritual candles will stack nicely with that, he has a Rosary and At Hubert's key to help boost Will tests.
Ward of protection to protect against the event deck. Blinding light for when evasion is needed. Hypnotic gaze to help protect the team. Storm of Spirits for when we're getting overwhelmed by enemies.
Alchemical Transmutation and Uncage the Soul (along with the Dr) should help with resource management. Scrying and Alyssa can help mitigate the risks of the encounter deck. Clarity of Mind to heal some horror, Shrivelling for a bit of fighting and finally Rite of Seeking to help with the investigating.
