Tackling The Forgotten Age (Standard) with the parallel All or Nothing version of "Skids" O'Toole. Alternate Front & Back but OG versions of On the Lam and Hospital Debts.
Using cards from Core Set (2), Dunwich cycle, Path to Carcosa (base) and The Forgotten Age cycle.
Audio playthroughs for the entire campaign are up on Arkham Interactive: https://anchor.fm/arkham-interactive
Ran a Level 0 deck similar to this through The Dunwich Legacy and had success. It is fast and flexible and I always feel like I have an answer. This is, without doubt, one of my favourite solo decks I have played so far. In this Forgotten Age run so far the deck has been obscenely powerful.
Had some concerns about energy management, but upgrades into Close Call and Chicago Typewriter have been enough to remove the most troublesome ones.
A single copy of all assets is sufficient - but I have doubled down on the Lockpicks/Switchblade combo in the late campaign - as you'll eventually see them all. Drawing Leo/Lola, Lucky Cigarette Case and Lone Wolf early are optimal, of course.
Ally rotation of Leo/Lola/Ichtaca with Charisma is super strong.
On the doorstep now. 38xp spent through the completion of The Depths of Yoth.
Tactics
Evade most enemies. Weapons are there if we things get overwhelming. With Lola's boost to Agility, plus the option to use Stealth (now replaced) on non-hunters, we're usually in the realm of success aside from the tentacle.
Use "Skids" ability - passing a 3 v 1 test doubles your money. I am not interested (yet) in wasting an Unexpected Courage or a valuable foot icon gambling. This, along with Lone Wolf, 1 x Hot Streak (formerly Cache) and the value brought by [now replaced] Sleight of Hand should be sufficient to pay for everything you need and clear Hospital Debts. Gambling with the High Roller has also helped pass many test. Streetwise was largely an excess XP splash. Not sure you need it, but I usually have the resources available to fund a few boosts.
Card draw with Lucky Cigarette Case, and successful tests with Man Dex and Perception, as well as All In (which I have never used before, but is INSANE) means you easily cycle through your streamlined deck. Drawing Amnesia has been a concern throughout, but there were multiple rounds where I had a full hand and a shrinking deck and just opted not to draw.
Lockpicks is great for "Skids", and paired with Flashlight, Look What I Found!, Perception and Lola's intellect boost/lightning ability more than enough to nab clues.
Willpower and sanity is a concern but should have had no issue tanking those brain tests if you are prepared for the outcome and are generally avoiding hits from enemies. Getting a +2 with High Roller, paired with Lucky, can also get you over the line for willpower tests.
