Level zero Daniela Reyes, ready to go with Norman Withers on a stroll through Innsmouth and the caves under it.

Probably nothing too special. Making Daniela go through Innsmouth should be interesting. On the one hand, there's a bunch of effects that make you engage extra enemies, so that should play into her strengths. On the other hand, she'll probably stack a lot of Deep One engagement effects on her. So i made sure i am starting out with a decent amount of extra soak and even some extra healing through Bandages, Student and the ever reliable Mirror.

I see Chainsaws in my not too distant future, but aside from that i am going into this without much of a plan.

EDIT: Damn, i forgot to add the In the Thick of it and the Charisma. Those two are actually important.

Good deck, I think that’s a nice basic Daniella deck. Just one question, in this level 0, what are the Resourceful for? I see only Take Heart and Bandages as targets which doesn’t seem that interesting, right?

After playing Bob, Monterey and Lily previously, i realized that the investigators with this type of deck building rule end up replacing almost all of their initial class with the "secondary" class. I expect this to happen for Daniela too, from scenario to scenario the number of Guardian cards is only going to get smaller while she becomes more and more of a survivor. Resourceful is just a generally strong card that lets me double dip on all of those XP i spend on upgrades.

Wow, this is frighteningly close to the deck I made last week (not published). Any reason for taking Overpower instead of Daring? I guess it's for Locked Doors and such, but I took Take the Initiative as it can also help with the occasional Will and Agility tests.

Ok yeah, that's what I thought, a placeholder, which makes sense, I sometimes do it with Calling in Favors even though I have only 1 Ally.

@Nenananas I don't want to talk for the deck builder but IMO Overpower is better because of the card draw, which is lacking in Daniela Reyes, especially if you do not take Glory.

Well, Daring also draws a card, so that's a wash. But Nenananas got it right, i value the flexibility of using it for encounter cards quite high. Locked Doors, Undertow, etc. Daring is a fine card but i found that i often hold it and can't use it when i want to.

@Valentin1331 She indeed struggles with card draw a bit (my version included Glory). Definitely nothing against Overpower, but in most decks I'd like to include one or two flexible commit cards in the vein of Unexpected Courage.

@DerBK I believe @Valentin1331 was talking about the comparison to Take the Initiative. But yeah, I could see pros and cons for either using Overpower or Daring, and it probably depends more on the campaign.

I really wish i would've had the space to pack some Glorys in here. I'm a fan of the card. But as it is it's already a pain to cut stuff for upgrades. Glory would've just been the first card to go as soon as i earn a handful of XP.
