1.1 The Gathering
After discovering an arcane irregularity in her home, Ms. Barnes drew on her patchy Arcane Studies to investigate. She secured her Machete and fought off The Thing That Follows, which crept in implacable pursuit from the cellar. The machete proved similarly useful in desperate combat with a horned Ghoul Priest that stalked her halls. One Ms. Chandler, a presently mysterious ally, emerged to assist Ms. Barnes, only to propose that Barnes raze her own estate by torch. Ms. Barnes declined.
