Hello,

This is an example deck for the librarian Daisy Walker, which can be built using just a revised Core Set or two old Core Sets. It's designed as an archetypical Daisy deck, without trying powerful combos or full optimization.

Daisy has two main strengths. The first is her high Intellect and full access to Seeker class. This allows her to be a specialist clue gathering character. She can confidently investigate almost any Location in the game, just needing a slight Intellect boost for 4+ shroud Locations. This can be easily done with static boosts like the Magnifying Glass or Dr. Milan Christopher, or via a skill card, like Perception or Unexpected Courage.

Her second main strength is her extra action each turn, which can only be used to activate a Tome Asset. This extra action has no opportunity cost, so we should take the most advantage from it. The Core Set offers three Tomes that can be activated by action: Medical Texts, Old Book of Lore and Encyclopedia (level 2 card). The Old Book of Lore provides a great card advantage, that can be applied to any investigator at Daisy's Location. Encyclopedia can provide a one-turn skill boost to whoever needs it, and Medical Texts can be used as an emergency resource for healing Daisy, who has a very low Health.

The rest of the deck tries to support both strategies above, and provide a bit of defense for Daisy. Research Librarian can tutor whichever Tome we need the most and can soak a point of damage/horror. Emergency Cache provides resources in case we don't see Dr. Milan Chistopher early in the game, who can generate almost infinite resources via his reaction ability. Finally, Mind over Matter and Ward of Protection grant the defense that Daisy needs, for Evading or cancelling a dangerous Treachery card. Most of the other Assets and Events are not optimal, and are meant to be replaced with the upgrades. Although the Arcane Assets can be useful, Scrying is too slow and Shrivelling can only be used to attack weak Enemies.

Even when the Core Set provides few options for upgrading Daisy, almost all of them improve her decks quite significantly. My recommended upgrade plan prioritizes Encyclopedia, as it's a Tome Asset that can be activated with her extra action, so it has no opportunity cost. Then, we'll upgrade the Magnifying Glasses, as we might need to open up their Hand slots for Tomes if we don't see Daisy's signature card. The next key upgrade is the Bulletproof Vest, to shield Daisy's low Health. Finally, the Cryptic Research can provide an excellent card advantage for no cost.
