Meant to combo with Labyrinth Min. But this Standalone deck can hold it's own in any combo deck, probably even solo.

This deck has 5 cards that will allow you to heal horror, good for giving resources and helping the team. Mainly the deck focuses on her weak spot which is low fight, so I included a lot of cards that do auto-damage with no testing needed.

You should be able to keep the beat cops and guard dogs healthy with first aid, so you can continually proc their abilities for free damage. She has 2 heroic rescue because she wants to be hit by enemies so she can proc heals and deal damage with guard dogs.

And some resource generating cards so she can play all her assets. I included the survival knife, because like i said, she wants to be hit, then she can hit back.

Interesting idea for Carolyn; I usually forgo combat with her entirely and just run support. The idea of testless damage is intriguing.

I take issue with your choice of Clarity of Mind over Liquid Courage, though. Especially in a group with Minh, your is high enough that you shouldn't need to worry too much about discarding cards, and healing 2 horror and gaining 2 resources with one action is worth the chance anyway. Also Liquid Courage costs less and doesn't take up a spell slot (not that you need them, but in case you wanted to throw in a Shrivelling or a Protective Incantation).

My other edit would be Inspiring Presence instead of Unexpected Courage. You mention First Aid for getting extra uses from Guard Dog and Beat Cop, and Inspiring presence is a similar effect with just a card investment.

Overall though it's a neat, very combat-heavy Carolyn deck, which is cool. Interesting concept.

That is a very good point when comparing Liquid Courage to Clarity of Mind. I guess I just don't like the idea of forcing a character to potentially have to discard a random card. Since WILL(2) test is pretty likely to fail on 3 will investigators. But with Min it should work out. I will change this up for the next version I am posting.

I totally forgot about Inspiring Presence, really good idea to have it, and combos really well. I will replace my overpowers though instead of my unexpected courage. I feel I still want the variability over the card draw.

Thanks for the comments, I think it really helped kind of round it out. I wish I could have found a spot for "Calling in Favors" or "Emergency Aid", but I don't really want to get rid of anything to put them in. Feel like she needs all that auto damage she can get.

I love Carolyn, I think she is a great third or fourth player in a group and can really help groups through some tough spots.

I had a similar build for a while with Carolyn. At low levels running True Grit for extra procs and saved actions with Survival Knife was quite choice. I love Xavier for this, as he really does a great job as a Survival Knife magnet.

With Minh's help, this might be viable. I ran a very similar build (sans Minh) and had some moderate success in NotZ.

After my play through I was left asking myself, wouldn't this archetype be better out of Mark? The only cards you are running that Mark cannot run are Liquid Courage (replace with Painkillers) and Clarity of Mind (replace with Painkillers or Emergency Aid).

You have such a low cost curve, that the extra draw will be huge AND you have a few slots that you could probably flex effectively into Mark's strengths.

I think Carolyn might be able to run a build like this eventually when some more support cards for the archetype have been released, but I think right now she only really can act as a support character effectively (healing sanity/health, sealing tokens and finding clues).

I also hope we get items like survival knife for clues at some point as I love being able to spend a round healing and not losing fighting tempo with survival knife. It was the whole basis for my build. If we can get something like that for clues at some point it would be a god-send for the build.
