A Norman deck I put together for our next three-player standard difficulty campaign run. This is the first Norman deck I've put together so any feedback would be appreciated.

Really trying to lean on his high willpower and intellect and use him as an investigation-focused character as that seems to be a starting niche.

I think it's decent, I would add a second Magnifying Glass but I guess someone else is using it? Also, Medical Texts is a pretty slow healing option, you probably want to use something like First Aid on someone else.

Norman Withers has trouble dealing with enemies, and if you don't have Shrivelling early, you could be in some trouble. Maybe add Mind over Matter or "I've got a plan!" to replace something. Seeking Answers can save you from moving to locations and save tempo, but it's a bit less reliable than it appears; there's typically more than one clue you want to get per location, so it's better just to travel there. I'd replace this with those fight cards I mentioned earlier.

Common thought for Norman is to not waste level 0 mystic card slots on cards you will be upgrading later. Because you are likely to buy the 3 or 5 xp Shriveling, many people don't run the level 0 Shriveling.

Particularly since you are in a group of 3, I'd take them out and just accept that you won't be a fighter the first scenario and just get the 3xp Shriveling after the first round. Other good mystic cards to replace Shriveling: storm if Spirits, delve too deep, Alyssa Graham (combos well with his signature) etc.

Hope this helps.

For the 5 level 0 Mystic cards, I like to lean Quantum Flux, and Delve Too Deep at twos of, with the 5th slot a single copy of either Alyssa Graham, or Shrivelling. Depending on team compositon, difficulty etc..

There was a player who had tested extensively with a single copy of Shrivelling with good results. It may be woth the level 0 slot.

I love Fieldwork for the boost in checks in general. However, I don't care for an overabundance of skills, but that's personal taste.

I have found some usage with Medical Texts due to Norman's goodly Intellect. He's not as flimsy as he could be, but he's no Charles Atlas.

I actually like effects like No Stone Unturned and Laboratory Assistant to dig through my deck for things that I need, and possibly shuffle something to the top that would be beneficial. Starting a turn with a free Mind over Matter has saved our collective bacon a time or two.

"I've got a plan!" is your tactical nuclear option/Boss Killer. Prepping for a double dose has killed a few fat nasties dead for me.

Norman's a challenging Investigator to build with, but is a lot of fun. I don't consider myself an authority on the guy, but my playthroughs have given me some limited insights.

Best of luck, and have fun!
