It the path to carcosa, I got 6 xp from Curtin Call. Do I buy...

a) 2x lucky Lev 2 & 1x cornered b) 2x Blood Eclipse c) something else Or d) the deck has a fatal flaw.

Feb 04, 2020 Sotosprotos · 86 IMHO, a card that is essential for Calvin is the The Red-Gloved Man and used with A Chance Encounter over and over again with Resourceful. This will boost your stats to near 8 or even 10 and after that, you will almost be capable of doing a little bit of everything. You should consider that from the start you have to should have limited actions, mostly play cards and not investigate high shrouds, so a copy of Painkillers and even Smoking Pipe is really good addition depending the situation. Live and Learn and a card that gives you a chance to make the test again when failing and Trial by Fire is a good card (but kinda expensive one) before The Red-Gloved Man is a part of your deck. For weapons i will add 2x Meat Cleaver instead of "I'm outta here!" and 1 copy of Fine Clothes. Some other cool card to bypass lethal damage, other than Perseverance is Delay the Inevitable. A whole different deck approach in Calvin's deck, is the Desperate cards, a build that I want so much to play (and I think it will be a fun one two). You use all the desperate cards, Cornered and Yaotl. With this, you can do almost anything depending on the cards discarded and the desperate cards are not dead draws if you have all your sanity. You just discard a card with Cornered or from Yaotl's ability and then you are buffed af. I hope that helped. :)
