O'Toole deck set up for some serious turns with Skids doing many actions per turn. Some events, assets and skills to enable and make most use of multiple actions per turn. Particularly stuff like Haste and Borrowed Time which pair very nicely.

Rapidly putting out Colt Vest Pocket with Sleight of Hand is always a great pair, but with Skids and lots of extra actions, there is a good chance of it all working together well to use up all the ammo and still get it back into your hand at the end of the go.

Danger lurks around every corner for Skids, and with the fast-thinking time-critical theming, it felt appropriate to have Chronophobia as the signature weakness... and with 29XP, two extra weaknesses for stand-alone mode mean another Chronophobia, and maybe a good reason for always being in a rush is The Thing That Follows.

On the topic of being in a rush, I'm hoping to manage a turn with 15 extra actions, which could be feasible in the unlikely event that the stars fully align! (2 from two .41 Derringer; 3 from Borrowed Time; 1 from Haste; 2 from Police Badge; 1 from Leo De Luca; 3 from Ace in the Hole; 1 from Quick Thinking; 1 from Ace of Rods; and 1 from "Skids" O'Toole.) That Pay Day would be quite something.... Lets hope Skids doesn't burn out!

How are you getting 2 actions from .41 Derringer without Double or Nothing? It's ability is limited to 1/ turn.

You could get another action if you play and sacrifice the second Police Badge during your combo.

The Red-Gloved Man or Trial by Fire (Versatile or ||Skids back) would be an idea to get higher skill values for your large turn. Lockpicks only help on your first investigate and 3 won't do much.

Yes, those Pay Days might pay off, but you have a heck of a cost curve. In my experience, Burglary just isn't a great card costing an action, a card, a resource, and a test for 3 resources. You have to use it successfully at least 2-3 times before it really starts showing value. Wouldn't Faustian Bargain be a better deal (or, maybe Pickpocketing (2)?

Can you trigger once per derringer? or is it only once per turn for the same named card? Yeah its a pricey deck, but Ever Vigilant is as good as Faustian Bargain, with the action and resource savings (Effectively gets burglary out for free if it is the third asset in your hand). Getting all those extra actions was damn expensive on XP, so pickpocketing(2) would have been pretty hard to squeeze in. Current resource generation is burglary (if you have a spare action lying around), payday, ever vigilant, "watch this!" Yeah not my most balanced deck ever! :-)

You mean 2 .41 Derringer in play? I think that works, as it doesn't use the "max" or "limit" words. However i don't see how you're succeeding by 3 without any boosts.

I tried Burglary a few times but it didn't work. It costs too many actions before you make any money for investigators not named Rex Murphy. Action costs: 1 to draw, 1 for resource, 1 to play and 1 to active. So on the turn you play and use it you're still 1 action behind, assuming you succeed (which is hard with 3) compared to spending 3 actions to gather resources. You also can't use it 3 times in a row for haste cause it exhausts.

Problem with Pay Day, it works better when you're already set up to have lots of extra actions, not sure you still need it at that point. I played ||Skids as fighter a while ago and used Faustian Bargain, Hot Streak with Double, Double to gain lots of resorces for my assets and Well Connected. Worked quite well to search for them with Lucky Cigarette Case 3.

With Haste/burglary i meant the spare third investigate action you might get if investigating fir clues twice (quite common)- not burglary three times. But yep 15 actions is more hypothetical than feasible!

Good point about payday! 15 resources after a 15 resource turn would be a bit late to be very useful!
