Hello! I'm about to start a multiplayer game soon, and I'd be very glad if you could write some feedback on this deck, please. Thank you vey much! <3

Description

This deck is aimed to multiplayer games, taking the main role of clue-discoverer, with the ability to sacrifice itself in order to one-shot every non-elite enemy at the location (at the cost of a physical trauma... and some laughs!). It is an average deck in terms of resources, so it has a few cards that help getting some extra resources, plus also some other cards to help reduce the deck size a bit, since it is a big 40 card deck.

Gameplay

The main focus is to look for cards that allow more solid investigations. A hand tool or two are mandatory, and other stat-boosting cards are also beneficial. These should be the first cards to look for and play. When on the table, they can provide investigations up to a stat of 8 (Lola Hayes + Magnifying Glass + Dr. Milan Christopher + Lockpicks). Other than that, this deck has few cards with icons, so don't expect to take on the most difficult test on the first time.

After that, just spend the turns balancing investigations and support, between the cards you've been drawing on the process. Apart from investigations, help can be provided to others in the form of healing, resources and card-seeking (see below).

Good luck and have fun!

Card overview

It bases its investigation capabilities on a few (combination of) items:

  • Flashlight and Lockpicks are the bread and butter. The former can reduce the difficulty of a test, while the later takes both of her average and base stats together.

  • Magnifying Glass and Dr. Milan Christopher provide benefits to all her investigations (+1 each), regardless of Lola's current role.

  • Leo De Luca allows Lola to take an extra action each turn, also regardless of her role (but mind he costs 6 resources!)

Note: As Lola, it is mandatory to mind her roles. Other that the obvious restriction of playing cards of her current role, as a she can use Lockpicks's ability; while as a she can use Dr. Milan Christopher's ability. And also Flashlight can be activated on any role at all.

The deck also has other useful elements:

  • Hallowed Mirror, No Stone Unturned, Stand Together and Teamwork are there to help self and others. With them, Lola can provide healing for damage and horror (with Soothing Melody), help finding that pesky card, get those couple extra resources, or share everything altogether respectively.

  • There are 14 item / supply card copies in the deck: Backpack can help keeping a lot of them at hand (potentially mitigating Crisis of Identity effects) and out of the deck, letting find other useful cards faster.

  • A funny combo is to use "Watch this!" investing 3 resources, Double or Nothing and Quick Thinking on a test (not on an investigation, unfortunately). It gives a solid +3 , and in case the test was won by 2 or more she gets 9 resources and 2 extra actions back. (this can be done with any , however)

  • Another option is possible by just using Double or Nothing and Quick Thinking on an investigation, potentially discovering two clues and also giving 2 extra actions back. This time, if used with Flashlight, Lola can potentially by facing a 0 difficulty investigation, nearly guaranteeing the success of +2 on their own.

  • Finally, there is a potential life saving mechanic for end-game. When both Taunt and "I'll see you in hell!" are in the hand, Lola can sacrifice herself to clear a room full of non-elite enemies. This was designed to help a 4 player campaign. Later on, Thermos can help mitigating the erosion effect by recovering more and more life on use.
