Out-of-work actor William Yorick lives with his Mom who insists on coming along on his tomfoolery to nag him to get a real job, give his allowance, remind him to wear his Coat, and of course to warn him “Just you wait until your Father hears about this!”

She also admonishes him for not taking better care of family dog Officer Scrambles, and never to leave home without his teddy, Saint Paw’l of Bearusalem.

Ultimately, when things go sideways, Father shows up, puts on his Red Gloves, cleans up their mess, and probably tells William how disappointed he is in him.

Needs 8XP before Daddy can start showing up (13 for 2nd copy), as Charisma allows Daddy to show up without knocking Mom or pupper off the field. Bury Them Deep means you’ll likely have those 8xp by the end of Scenario 2, possibly even by the end of 1.

William tanks w/ dogs, coat, keepsake, and Mom. Prepared for the Worst hastens the needed pair of Machete and Survival Knife- esp. Knife, as the free fight action synergizes w/ the tank gear, especially doggo.

Mom provides resources and cards here and there- nothing costs more than 3, so bouncing off 0 isn’t terrible- and as a 2/2 for 2 helps tank.

"Look what I found!" & Lucky! are fantastic risk mitigation , Resourceful can bring back either for more.

Ultimately Red-Gloved Dad shows up, and thanks to William’s ability, plus A Chance Encounter, he’ll be showing up a lot from that point on.

Been a fun deck on standard 2p, unsure how it’d do at higher levels.

Before reaching 10XP and adding Daddy, what should be used instead?

Good question; I used Lantern in the interest of running cheap, but Beat Cop may work better in the 3-7 xp range when you have Charisma but no Red Gloves yet.

Knife is a fine go-to for William as well, and my latest games are making me think Guts really needs to be in here... I got slaughtered by will checks on Blood On The Altar.

Not sure 6 allies work w/o charisma at 0 xp. How about calling in favors to heal and tutor allies?

Sry for double post, but no emergency cache? If you include that, backpack could be helpful as well.

Good point and totally agree 6 allies would be problematic before Charisma. So from 0-2 xp, stick with MLB and either Guard Doge OR Beat Cop. As a bonus, you can name both Officer Scrambles.

Favours could be handy in this deck! I’ll have a look.

Given the low price of most of the deck, I’ve never found much need for Cache. It runs on scraps, and MLB supplements nicely.

Backpack might work; it competes w Leather Coat, but that’s not as key as Keepsake, so maybe...

I never played yorick but read in other decks he can run into ressource problems if you recur allies to often, like the dog. But if you focus on the coat and keepsake, it should work w/o Emergency Cache.

Calling in Favors can also be used to recycle the Illusive Man. It's not very impressive to use him for 2 actions but gets better once you add Police Badge (which can be recurred using his ability).

In my opinion you don't have enough items in your deck to get the most out of Backpack (sweatspot for me is 10 excluding backpack). But in yoricks deck it's not bad if you discard a full Backpack, as you can get everything back with his ability (except Emergency Cache). In contrast, i think this is a pretty good strategy.

I played a version of Yorick/Red Gloved Man through Forgotten Age and it was a blast.

I did use Calling in Favors, but not A Chance Encounter. Calling in Favors was more for healing and switching around my Beat Cops and Brother Xavier on Yorick's super tight budget. I always saved my second ally slot (and typically Yorick's ability) for the Red Gloved One, though.

Yorick sure is a pretty good 6/6/4/3 Investigator with infinite health and sanity, amiright?
