Am I the only one who thinks Mark looks like Chris Pine???
Deck built for a 4-player multiplayer. Primary role is to kill things and soak damage while the other investigators find the clues. Support cards designed to heal or minimize damage so Shell Shock doesn't make you crazy outright when you pull it.
Played the first scenario on normal with this deck so far and love it. Can be tweaked to your play style but basically just have fun smacking any enemy around.
ASSETS
.32 Colt can be subbed for the .45 Automatic. For my play style I'd rather have the +1 and fewer ammo for the extra resource.
Flashlight is always helpful for low shroud locations but can be a flex spot since you shouldn't really be looking for clues.
Ally: Guard Dog is not a bad ally choice either, but I prefer the cops for the extra and ability to upgrade later in the campaign.
Physical Training will probably be dropped later as Mark doesn't need the boost, but the boost might be helpful to avoid nasty horrifying encounters.
EVENTS
Evidence! is great if you're hanging out in a high shroud place and a Seeker is nowhere to be found.
Don't underestimate the power of being Prepared for the Worst if you get a bad opening hand.
Shortcut is the only other useful non-faction Tactic card I found in the pool...maybe better ones will be released later...
I love the flavor of "Let me handle this!" and you can consider packing 2 if you're feeling heroic.
Flex spots: "If it bleeds...", Emergency Aid, and Dodge are there if you're feeling nervous about the damage you're taking. Probably a bit overkill to have all 3, so you can ditch some for other cards if you're feeling more risky. Emergency Aid is probably the most essential as you can think of it as 2 skill cards in one if you're using Sophie's ability.
SKILLS
Self-explanatory. Swap out as per your play style. With your weapon and Beat Cop bonus you'll be at 7 , so you won't need much more of a boost.
UPGRADE PLANS
Stand Together and "I've had worse…" are great cards to help other investigators. Ever Vigilant is very nice action and economy compression.
Plan to get Charisma and either beefed up Beat Cops or include Brother Xavier as a horror soak.
Elder Sign Amulet will be another useful horror soak.
Shotgun and Extra Ammunition work great with Mark's high strength if you want to commit the XP to this combo. Vicious Blow is also an obvious upgrade to maximize damage with Mark's high .
