This is a Themed deck built around the V.1.9 June 2021 Rules including new Taboo includes a new rule for this card: Telescopic Sight.

For a less thematic but easier to play deck, there are alternatives at the end of the flavour text, with the cards used added to the Side Deck. Pick your own version and suggest anything missing!

It all started during a theft at the Miskatonic Museum when a Cat Burglar entered the highly guarded Exhibit Hall and went away with the most precious Relic: A Hemispheric Map indicating the location of a treasure in the deep of the Amazonian rainforest.

The thief then started to gather a crew: a young Relic Hunter to prepare the expedition, a Muckraker to raise funds for the expedition, and a veteran from the sniper division.

This Old man's job is to stay behind the rest of the crew and make sure that no one attacks them.

The military knows the importance of Maintaining his Weapon, equipped with a brand new Telescopic Sight specially bought for this mission that helps him shooting the possible creatures attacking the expedition. His M1918 BAR allows him to be clinical, adjusting every shot to the enemy's characteristics.

His past experience taught him that the one that comes home alive has to be Well Prepared. Therefore, for this mission, he worked he will Stick to the Plan: Always being Prepared for the Worst and having Extra ammo mounted on a Swift Reload gear.

Despite being Elusive, in case an unexpected creature falls on him from the canopy, he is ready to Think on his Feet, and when surrounded, his last resort is to shoot a Warning Shot.

Doing the work is key, and so is reminding your true added value to the group. In case a small beast shows up, it's always fun to shoot at it while yelling "Watch this!" to the others just before. That always works to ask for extra tips at the end of the contract.

Finally, if the enemy is too strong, it is always possible to call for Napalm, hoping that everyone could come back to a safe spot before... But this never happened before... at least when he was carrying his Lucky Cigarette Case with him. And if nothing works, he already had to Run For Your Life as Mitch Brown can testify.

The main flaw of this deck is that it's extremely expensive, otherwise it seems surprisingly fun to play, in theory at least. Maybe replacing the highly thematic Warning Shot (that is a less good Elusive) with Faustian Bargain or Ever Vigilant.

Run For Your Life is also an option instead of Dynamite Blast, even though Gregory Gry can take some horror when it is out of resources.

Finally 2 copies of Beat Cop (0) or Beat Cop (2) instead of Well Prepared, for more expensive but more consistent boost with test free damages. This prevents you from using Well Prepared on your Lucky Cigarette Case or Cat Burglar for better encounter prot though.

An option was to use the Springfield M1903 with Bandolier and Switchblade for example, replacing Contraband with Extra Ammunition but it is not nearly as effective, takes more cards to run... It seems just worst overall.

Also good alternative is to use Shotgun, with Extra Ammunition instead of Swift Reload, Venturer instead of Contraband, and Calling in Favors instead of Warning Shot. Finally to cash in the overkill of most enemies, Relentless instead of Dynamite Blast. It looks really solid.
