This shows the deck after the first 9xp, once Versatile, Stick to the Plan, and Ever Vigilant have been purchased.

Straight forward, no-nonsense, beat 'em up good deck that's fast, focused, and team-oriented.

Opening Hand

Always attach Ever Vigilant to Stick to the Plan (see below). I also put Delay the Inevitable and Heroic Rescue so I know where they are.

You want Crystallizer of Dreams and, to a slightly lesser extent, Boxing Gloves in your starter set-up. In 12 test scenarios only twice did I not start with gloves and crystallizer in hand or in backpack, and because of the draws it came in hand pretty quick anyway. Mulligan for Backpack. Every. Card. If. Need-be. Failing that, play "Look A Monkey" on your teammates and search your deck for it.

Opening Play: Play Ever Vigilant:

  1. Play Backpack for 1 resource, searching the top 6 or 12 of your deck. Your priority attachments are, of course, Boxing Gloves and Crystallizer of Dreams. I also like to have Emergency Cache, but take what you can get.
  2. Play Crystallizer of Dreams for free.
  3. Play Boxing Gloves for 2 resources.
  4. You have 2 actions remaining this round. Perhaps one of them will be to play Safeguard .

Optional Upgrades

Once you get the initial 9xp in place, often after the first two scenarios, that's it—anything else is just flash.

If your going solo (or if it's everyman for himself), work these in:
