The doctor who won't heal (you)
The search for blood
Some healers heal. This one does not. This is a Vincent Lee designed for all those clerics who follow the one rule of truth:
Defeating enemies before they attack is healing.
That's why he made a pact with The Hungering Blade. With this one weapon, Vincent Lee concentrates his skills on a singular focus: the art of bloodletting.
Deck Strategy
The Blade
You've sacrificed everything for the answers you seek, but you were never designed for the horrors awaiting you---your Bonesaw is useless against the Malevolent Spirits haunting your steps.
So you've turned to the blade.
This is a deck designed around one card. If you cannot hard mulligan for it, a Backpack, or Prepared for the Worst, you must continue to draw cards until you get it, Deep Knowledge shall help with that.
At the very least, the Bonesaw will help mitigate the onslaught of enemies until you get your precious out.
The Hungering Blade is the perfect weapon for Vincent Lee as it raises his for each copy of Bloodlust attached. A fully powered Hungering Blade gives Vincent a of 6, with Lonnie Ritter or Jessica Hyde, he's at a 7---doable for a level 0 deck.
Until the The Hungering Blade is fully charged, he'll be fighting at a 3 or a 4, so save an On the Mend for the finishing blow.
The Book
Dream Diary is just fun with Vincent's On the Mend. Use Helping Hand with Essence of the Dream and On the Mend to translate it, so you can always have an essence in hand for those meaty sacrifices later.
The Allies
This is a seeker who won't seek. He is designed to be a primary fighter in two players, will need someone to assist in enemy management in three-four. (Crack the Case is here to reap the benefits of your partner's toil.) Since his base is a 3, he needs Jessica Hyde and Lonnie Ritter out (prioritize Jessica, but you'll do fine with either). Jessica triggers On the Mend at the end of your turn, so it's perfect for use in the mythos phase. Lonnie Ritter helps tank any horror gained from being an inefficient devotee to the Hungering Blade. Use Trusted on either one to make them more tanky.
(If you want to use Lonnie Ritter's ability, you can add a Heavy Furs in here, played after the Backpack.)
The Backpack
Level 0 Backpack is not good. It's here for a last-ditch attempt at getting the blade, and to save a deck-slot for the big combo-maker: Backpack.
The Bleed
"If it bleeds..." is largely here for theme, but it's helps with the weakness to horror. This is the first card to swap for an upgrade, or just use your favorite level 0 card instead, like Glory.
The Weakness
Wounded Bystander won't leave you alone. But, he doesn't need to be healed completely. Use him as a blood bag, with Inspiring Presence, or Bandages for an On the Mend. Emergency Aid is here for damage-heavy scenarios, where you may need to heal him so you can tank a hit from a Grasping Hands.
Mental trauma is your worst nightmare, as you need every point of sanity in case enemies elude you with the The Hungering Blade out.
The Wilds
Helping Hand should only be used with On the Mend or Essence of the Dream for mythos treacheries you need to pass (Crypt Chill), or other desperate situations.
The Thick
In the Thick of It - basicaly, take your favorite trauma. Double physical should be fine as you can also heal it away with Emergency Aid. Stay away from double mental, one of each may also be fine if you prioritize the Hallowed Mirror to help.
The Upgrades
Consistency
Charisma or Backpack should be your first upgrade, so you can get both allies out and fight at a 5 , or to search 12 cards to get a weapon out.
Crazy
The next upgrade should be Dream Diary, with this you can be as flexible as you need. I've often used this to make Vincent evade in a pinch; with On the Mend, that's a 6 wilds against any enemy engaged with you, 4 if not. Helping Hand doubles this.
Reliable is here to empower the blade, so you can consistently hit 8 when fighting, but may not be necessary in lower player counts with lower health enemies.
Gang Up is for boss killing once you're set up. Dream Diary + The Hungering Blade + Jessica Hyde + Lonnie Ritter == +4 hit for 5 damage.
Cursed
These cards shines when it's played in a blurse team. Spirit of Humanity is used for the fast heal for an On the Mend, and Blasphemous Covenant is there to help you mitigate your curse. Conversely, Spirit of Humanity is great to add blesses to get damage on Jessica Hyde for her to heal, just make sure you're keeping your horror in check. Swap out "If it bleeds..." for Spirit of Humanity if you love blurse.
After that, have fun!
Bring in your favorite upgrades, try out a Gray's Anatomy build if you want, with a Bandolier or The Raven Quill for the slot management. Use Hunter's Armor for more sanity soak and a nice combo with Lonnie Ritter, you can only upgrade 2 checkboxes on it though.
