Introduction:
Just finished the night of the zealot campaign successfully in expert with that list. I rushed + 1 Scrapper +2 Will to Survive -2 A Chance Encounter. The Will to Survive + Resourceful combo allowed me not to draw a single counter for 2 turns and gave me the win. One more hit and I was dead though. Devil's Luck would have been awesome to survive better, but I only had 9 xp and Scrapper definitely allowed me to hold better while building my income thanks to David Renfield.
Possible switch:
-
Overpower vs Perception vs Manual Dexterity vs Resourceful vs Reckless Assault vs Desperate Search vs Guts vs Inspiring Presence
- Baseball Bat vs Fire Axe
Possible upgrades:

Feb 01, 2018Hello, In expert being 100% sure to get that clue in a high shroud location is fantastic. I did the campaign with Art Student and I was satisfied. Still, the deck needs gas and finding cards like Will to survive and Resourceful to use all that money can clearly change the game. Thus the question. I don't think the answer is that easy. I always want more cards. Indeed the idea in the long run is to use the money from David Renfield to power Scrapper, Plucky and Will to survive. |
Feb 01, 2018I haven't played on expert, but you may want to try losing 1 ward of protection, then adding in 2 x Art Student. Clues are the name of the game, and the sooner you get them, the sooner you get out. Art Student also works EXTEMELY well with A Chance Encounter, so you might want to try finding room to keep that in. Again, this only applies to solo or duo; at higher numbers of players, 1 clue becomes more drop in the bucket-y. |
With Scrapper and Plucky, you have the ability to pay your way to any challenge, and you start with Scrapper in play. The Art Student vs Lab Assistant is all about how you play it and what you need: Are you playing solo/duo? Art Student is good for that clue. Are you having trouble getting clues, or trouble drawing cards? That answer will solve the dilemma.
