Deck Overview:

I ' ll skip talking about the initial deck and jump directly to the upgraded version of it.

So, the main idea of this deck is to use Switchblade as our main weapon and create a "succeed by 2 or more" engine with it. To begin with, Switchblade as a weapon is not too bad for Guardians. It's fast, cheap and because all of the Guardians have high value, it has a decent chance of getting the desired +1 damage. Now, only Leo has access to it, along with other cards that can compliment it, so i created a Leo deck.

So, to be able to use Switchblade and hit the +1 damage consistently, we need high value. To achieve that, we have Beat Cop and Hired Muscle, both of which give us a boost to it. By including Hired Muscle in the deck though, a problem arises: And that is money. Once we put Hired Muscle on the table, our economy will stall. And that is why we have a lot of resource generation cards. Emergency Cache, "Watch this!", Lone Wolf, and later Hot Streak , "I've had worse…" and the upgraded version of Leo De Luca, all serve the same purpose: to solve our money issue.

Now, since when using Switchblade we 're gonna be hitting "by 2 or more" values often, we also have cards that support this build. Lucky Cigarette Case is going to draw us a card when we hit the "by 2 or more" threshold, and "Watch this!" and Vicious Blow (2) want you to be oversucceeding anyway. We also have Daring Maneuver that works sort of like Overpower when using it with Switchblade and that is why Overpower is the card that gets replaced with it. Daring Maneuver will also allow us achieve niche plays, like hitting something with Vicious Blow (2) and guarranteeing success.

Near the end of the campaign, we will also have .41 Derringer (2), which works in the same manner as Switchblade, with the added benefit that it can give us an extra action if we oversucceed. Now, i doubt it will be useful a lot of times, but it can be a niche. You might prefer keeping the .32 Colt for consistency (as it has more bullets), but the .41 Derringer adds more fun. And by the way, the choice of including .32 Colt instead of .45 Automatic is because we 're gonna be hitting high values.

Another thing to note is that, once we get Lucky Cigarette Case and Hired Muscle, Calling in Favors becomes a less value card, 1) because we will need to switch allies less often and 2) because the card draw from Lucky Cigarette Case will help us find Mitch Brown too, and that is why 1 copy of this card is being left out of the deck once we get them.
