Without Duke, Pete's investigation and fighting skills are quite low (in addition health and sanity are very low). While this could cause troubles in singleplayer games (I suppose, although I haven't tried, yet), Pete could be a valuable supporter in multiplayer games. Together with his faithful companion, he can be extremly versatile, because almost every basestat can have a value of 4 (only has a value of 3, but that's not bad either). In combination with the class Pete is very flexible in supporting a group with whatever is needed.

Let's get it on!

One of my strategies for the deck was "true surviving", which means that the card costs are preferably low. That's the reason why in this deck is only one of my otherwise favourites (Emergency Cache). Another strategy is to get out the max of Duke, so I looked for cards supportig the readiness of Pete's best friend. In result I took Preposterous Sketches to have enough cards to use the special ability of Pete and Inspiring Presence to get the dog on alert. Madame Labranche can be a resort if many cards were discarded or Paranoia hits the threat area.
The last not- card should boost the skill (of Duke AND Pete), that's why I took Beat Cop. Because of Ashcans high other cards are imaginable (e.g. Storm of Spirits) - it depends on the group constellation.

Because of Pete's special ability, Scavenging could be useful to recover discarded cards or getting a fresh (used) Cherished Keepsake / Leather Coat. And if an important card gets discarded (e.g. Duke) Resourceful might be the lifesaver.

To cut a long story short: The rest can be done in keywords.

For investigation-support I took:
Newspaper
"Look what I found!"

For fighting-support I took:
Beat Cop
Fire Axe
Gravedigger's Shovel
Baseball Bat
Oops!
Improvised Weapon

For evasion and special moves I took:
Dig Deep ( tests)
Peter Sylvestre
Waylay (for team maneuver or own special move)

To cope with low health and sanity I took:
Cherished Keepsake
Leather Coat
Dig Deep ( tests)

For boosting skill tests:
Lucky! (the all-purpose "weapon")
Manual Dexterity
Guts
Unexpected Courage (also an all-purpose "weapon")

I would appreciate comments to this deck and my description! And please feel free to correct my english where it's necessary (I'm no native speaker).
Thank you!
