Introduction
Mary's subclass is and she has low . This mean you should use cards in early scenario.
With Shrivelling and Machete with many skill cards You can handle first or second scenario of the campaign. After that, when you finally get 8xp. You can use Enchant Weapon and Radiant Smite. It makes mary a real guardian angel who break a skull to guard someone.
Why use Blackjack? Because in many cases only one enemy spawn and engage with each investigator. If you use only Machete, You can't deal with pair of 3 health enemy. And if you use Enchanted Blade or other weapon that has limited uses, You can only use that 3 or little more time. But with Blackjack, you get unlimited 3 damage weapon.
Why 3 damage is so important? Because in this game, enemy with over 4 health usually has victory value or be only 1 card in encounter sets. But 3 health enemy? there are lot of them, (especially in forgotten age campaign.) like Brood of Yig, Young Deep One... and so on.
So, how can mary defeat the boss? With Radiant Smite, both Enchant Weapon and Nephthys, you can deal up to 12 damage in one round. It is enough deal to kill a scenario boss. even if it isn't enough, you can deal another 8 to 10 damage next turn.
Upgrade pass
Upgrade Enchant Weapon , Radiant Smite and Nephthys frist, and the other's order doesn't important.

(1) Tides of Fate and Tempt Fate->(2) Radiant Smite
Note: You must upgrade both Enchant Weapon and Radiant Smite same time if you don't have enough exp, you should but other card or buy just only both Radiant Smite. removing Shrivelling from deck when you get enough deal card.
3~4 scenario

Other considerble opsion
More damage is always good and it can comitt Spectral Razor.
Bandolier and Holy Spear
Usually, you can't buy because of less exp. But if you can, it makes you a killing machine. and you can also consider buy only Bandolier to get extra or combine with Boxing Gloves
has great synergy with Guardian Angel
buy when you feel 'oh I wish I have just one more action'.
Don't buy it
toooooooo expansive way to generate . Mary can generate just being stay alive.
just use Deny Existence
ask other player to use A Watchful Peace
we use Blackjack and Safeguard.
too expensive exp. And we also use Nephthys, so we don't need to consider about losing .

Don't take skill card in first hand.
Top priority is Nephthys and Enchant Weapon .
Conclusion
Both and classes has poor resources and action chance. But because of high ,, and is most stable classes in arkham. Since mary don't use stable panalty card like Shrivelling or Azure Flame, it makes Mary most stable investigator in arkham. And also with mary's ablity it makes your team more stable. And last thing.
Don't pick up Mary, if there are less then 3 player in game.
